It's Saturday so come play along with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

We are playing with scallops this week at KKS. I used one of the new quotes- "Love is a fruit in season at all times and within reach of every hand" by Mother Teresa. I stamped it on a circle then framed it with a scalloped nestie and also added a scalloped border to add more scallopy goodness to the card. I would have made scalloped potatoes too but I don't bother as no one can make them as good as my Grandma could.

If you love playing with scallops too come join us the at KKS challenge blog. As always Kimmie has shared some incredible samples from the DT to help get the mojo flowing!

Happy Saturday- Andi

Wanna play along with Cute Card Thursday!!!

Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is sponsoring Cute Card Thursday this week with a fun sketch! I am always happy to play along when we sponsor CCT as they have such fun challenges. And as a lazy crafter- I love me some challenge blogs with sketches! Here is my card using one of the new KKS Krafty Quotes. I literally had this sweet card made up super fast. There is nothing like making a fast card with a quote as a focal point- who doesn't love an inspiring quote?

I used my brand spanking new papers from the 4 new My Mind's Eye 6x6 packs. Ummm...can anyone say swoon! I love that they are double sided too. So if there is a pattern I am not fond off I usually like the opposite side. These new pads have been a mainstay in my crafting lately- I may even have to buy a second pad  of a few of the collection. I have never done that before- that is love! Of course to me it just justifies that I obviously made a smart purchase hee hee. Not that I can't justify all my purchases of course ;).

If you want to play along with us click here to go to the CCT challenge blog. You can win some stamps too as well as a sketch to get the mojo flowing.

Have a great Thursday!

High Hopes stamps is making cards for the girls...

This week HHS Diva Debby is challenging us to make a female birthday card. I decided to make one for the grown up girls in my life. I chose BFF girls for my card today as I love these ladies. Why do I love them...cause they are not all skinny minnies hee hee. I love their body shape and I love their not perfect hair style. In fact mine usually looks like the girl on the left. I call it my Christmas tree look because my hair is flat on top them I have wild kinky waves that make it flare out at the bottom. I feel like a triangle hee hee.

I coloured these ladies up with my copics and then used some of the new Prima paper I snapped up today at SGD. I just adore Prima's dreamy paper lines. I know my butterfly paper looks like it is upside down because of the words but actually it had the script going both ways. It was only after it was all glued down that I realized how it looked. After trying to peel it off and hearing ripping...it was there to stay lol! I added a layered flower, some ribbon and some stitching. By free hand of course using a marker as I forgot to stitch it before I had glued it down *sigh*. I would ask where my head was but I know already...it was busy breaking up one of the bajillion arguments my kids were having today, Family Day holiday, in Ontario. They were the 'Bickerson's' so much so today that hubby and I snuck off for a hot drink (Tim Horton's Roll up the rim time people!) and the quick run in to SGD to see Sheila and Kim. Thanks for the mental break and laughter ladies!

So grab yourself a hot drink if you don't have one already and pop on over to the High Hopes Stamps challenge blog to see more yummy DT creations and to see how you can craft along with us to win! If you need any High Hopes stamps don't forget you can get them directly from HHS, SGD or Paper Romance and many more online stores.

Kraftin' Kimmie stamps is getting all sketchy on ya!

I know I say this each and every time but I love sketches. So a big shout out to Elaine who gave us this fun sketch to work with this week. I already love Elaine because she is so sweet and her colouring is insane! And giving me a sketch to work with...let's just say she moved up the ladder of love a few more rungs. Those of us 'card design challenged' live for sketches. Or my, I mean our cards all look the same lol. Okay...stop scrolling to my past posts to find all the cards with the same design lol!!!!

For my spring card today I used Buggy Full of Ducks which I actually had coloured a while back and held onto it until I felt inspired to make a Spring card- and Friday's weather totally made me feel like Spring!

If you want to play along with us hop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps blog to see the sketch we used, more DT eye candy and also this week's contest deets. (Pssst...I have it on good authority that this week's prize is the first set of Krafty Quotes!)

KKS Weekly challenge- grab a pen and paper!

This week's challenge is so fun! My fave Stamper from Down Under - the Lovely and talented Donna (have you SEEN what that girl does with her pencils!!) has challenged us to follow a recipe for card greatness. Before I share the list here are my card deets. I used a black dotted bazzill cardstock. Some lucious black ribbon from Webster's Pages, some older designer paper from Fancy Pants, a button, some twine. And of course the star of the card- Judy! She is drinking a cherry cola looking all cute waiting for the dreamy boy to show up at the soda shop. Love her high heels with her cute shorts.

Now for the recipe. You can use 3 different colour cardstock, 2 different designer papers, 1 button and 1 ribbon. Then walk away. It's done.

To see more sneak peeks and other interpretations of this week's challenge click here to go to the KKS challenge blog and be prepared to get Krafty!

Cheers, Andi

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps sneaky peeky day 3- featuring Annie's 50's inspired images

Yo, wat's up? Okay that's all the cool talk I know. I am not really a cool cat so I am not hip to the jive on the latest cool sayings, word? There is a couple decades of saying mashed into one sentence lol!

Today's release we are showing off Annie's 50's inspired images. This is Danny (aka Arthur Fonzerelli to me). I coloured him up with my copics and used a larger spectrum of colours to try and create the shine that the motorcycle would have in real life. I am happy with the result! He is the PERFECT image for all my nephew's cards as the older ones are into motorcycles, fast cars, etc. Thankfully for this poor Auntie's heart they are still a couple years away from being able to drive any of them!

I am a sucker for 50's images- you should see what else Annie drew for this Kraftin' Kimmie stamps release! To check out all the cool cards sharing Annie's work today head on over to the KKS challenge blog.

Cheers, Andi

All the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps Krafty Girls who are sharing peeks today are also using Steven's images so Miles is all over the web today! For more critter cuteness hop over to the challenge blog and see what else that Miles is doing this month. In fact he may have some other new friends for you to meet this month!

High Hopes Stamps is making Valentines!

You have probably heard me say this a bajillion times but I love making Valentine's day cards! I am not into gifts for that day or anything but it is one of the few times a year when it is acceptable to pair Pink and Red together. Which I love. And I am not ashamed to admit it lol. Joining me on this pink and red creation is the super cute doggy valentine- 'No bones doggy'.

So you may be wondering- 'Hey Andrea- I thought your guest DT for HHS was over'. You would be correct. My guest spot ended and they offered me a permanent spot- yippee!!!!! Congrats also to Tanya and Kristine as they were my fellow guest DT members and they are also staying on. A warm welcome to Cathy and Alie and one of my fave artists Anna as they are our new guest DT members!

Want more Valentine eye candy? Hop on over to the HHS Challenge blog to see the DT's creations and also how you can play along with us and get in the mood for love.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is seeing Red....

This week's challenge over at the KKS Challenge blog is to use the colour RED in your creation. As I enjoy making Valentine's day projects this was easy peasy for me! I used some new My Mind's Eye papers that are a gorgeous kraft, black and red and then Raychel popped out of my stamp storage tray and confessed how she ADORES Paris and really wanted to be part of this card. I just couldn't resist those cupid's bow lips and agreed she would be perfect!

My first picture is just of the card with very little editing and the second image is Raychel with some vintage tints and fade added to help enhance the vintage look I was going for. I can't resist those photo textures sometimes! I figure it's only fair to show the card in it's 'normal' state as well though hee hee!

Well I am off to help Ms. Kimmie herself celebrate her big birthday! I get to hang out with lots of the krafty girls and colour the day away. And eat an insane amount of food I bet! Before starting your day head on over to the KKS challenge blog and see more red creations. Cheers! Andi

A new High Hopes card that "Toad-ally" rocks!

I am in love with a toad. I never thought it would happen but here I am. Can you blame me? I made this card for this month's SGD card kits. You get everything you need to make 3 copies of the card above plus 3 more cards in a different layout and colours. I also used the Martha Steward double scallop punch to create my ruffles. Click here to see more. But back to this card....I might give it to myself- is that too weird? Aren't we told to love ourselves so we can have more love to give others? Is that good enough justification hee hee?

Sorry, I would love to chat more but me and this guy have some more snuggling to do ;P. Andi
