SGD Therapy Thurs make-N-Take

**Please scroll down for my Crazy 4 Challenges post**

I found this cute card that we made a couple Thursdays ago at Scrappingreatdeals product talk- aka Therapy Thursday. I added a few extra pieces of bling to it once I brought it home. I can never resist making things sparkle just that little bit more ;).

We played with My Favorite Things (MFT) 'Inspired by Butterflies' stamp set and the matching dies. I have a hard time resisting anything butterfly related and this one is so versatile I felt totally justified buying both lol!

The gorgeous paper on this card is from one of my new obsessions- London Market by Pink Paislee. I have seriously bought the paper in 12x12 and 3 packages of the 6x6 papers. And all the embellies in duplicate. I think this one wins for fave of the year! Sooo Yummy!

Yep- more addictions for me...not really a big surprise there hee hee!

Cheers...Andrea

Crazy 4 Challenges says Tag you are IT!

I forgot how fun it is to make tags! I usually make a tag on a card but as I was organizing my craft room I came across a huge amount of shipping tags just begging to be played with! Then I check what our C4C challenge is for this week and it was make a tag...clearly fate was stepping in!

I picture me using this tag on a birthday gift or even a wedding present. I mean how amazing would your prezzie look on the gift table with a fantabulous tag hanging off of it! In fact...I wouldn't be surprised if you suddenly found your social calendar filling quickly as others want you to come to their soiree and bring them a tagalicious gift. I mean..I would invite me to get one of these hee hee!!

I have actually been working on this tag all week. Pretty funny considering how clean and simple it is. Trust me- this is the end result after embellishment after embellishment ended up in the reject pile. I couldn't stand to cover up my cloud shapes that my embossing folder made! Some fun cloud and heart washi tape gave the extra colour I was looking for. I also cracked open a MFT stamp and Die set I hadn't used yet as well as the MFT loopy bloom die. I am in love with the flower that loopy die makes! I already made more in different colours just for fun!

So pop on over to the C4C challenge blog to read the full deets on this week's inspiration plus see some amazing mojo inspiring creations from the rest of the Crazies!

High Hopes Stamps Challenge- Use Green and Orange

Time for another High Hopes Challenge! This week we are asking you to use the colours Orange and Green. I grabbed one of the new releases "Buggy Frog" to get inspired. I also had to use some of my new yummy flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I coloured up this cutie with my copics. My greens are:
YG03
YG25
YG17

I think that is my go to green copic combo when I want something bright.

For more Green and Orange eye candy pop on over to the HHS challenge blog to help inspire you and see how you can play along with us to win!

Crazy 4 Challenges- Sketch time!

It's Saturday so it's time to get Crazy 4 Challenges! This week we are getting sketchy. Pop on over to the C4C blog to see all the DT eye candy and to see the sketch we based our cards on. It's a nice and easy one!

To play with this week's sketch I used a Unity Itty Bitty stamp called 'Direction of Happy'. I just love the meaning to this sweet stamp and that little bird makes me happy :). I can't help it- nice saying, cute bird, butterflies- yep this girly girl was in a happy card making zone.

To ink up my stamp I used my new Tim Holtz distress markers to colour up the images then 'huffed' on them to get the ink moist before pressing it to the paper. I also used Lord Tim of Holtz's distress ink on my ticket shape and on my music note paper from Bazzill. I added some twine, flowers and bling to help add the details to follow the sketch. I only really changed it up by using a tag instead of circles. Other than that I was true to the layout. Pretty good for me as I do like to take creative license with sketches lol!

If you get a chance to craft this coming week we would love to have you play along with us over at Crazy 4 Challenges!

Happy Crafting!

Hip Hop...What's cooking Good Looking!

Today is Thursday so it is Hip Hop time with Unity Stamps! I am your first stop today along the way and I created with the cutest chef I have seen in a long time! Look at how handsome he is in his stripey pants!! He is from one of the newest Ippity stamps released by Unity just last week. This fine man can be found in the set called What's Cooking. He comes with 3 sentiments to add to his versatility. I thought I could use this as a dinner invite or a humorous birthday card.

I love him. For real.

I found some old October Afternoon paper that suited the Parisian look I wanted on my card. So glad I keep all those scraps of paper for years- never know when you might need one. JUSTIFICATION!! LOL!!!

Next hop is a girl I have met online and in person and I just love her!! Hop on over to Eryn's blog to see what she is hip hopping with today!

C4C challenge time and some Unity May KOTM eye candy

It's Saturday so it is time for another Mojo inspiring Crazy 4 Challenge's challenge!  We have the uber talented Silke Kittmann as our hostess this month and her first one is near and dear to my heart- use butterflies. I adore butterflies!

I used this vintage looking stamp from my Unity May KOTM and stamped it on some distressed patterned paper. I then stumbled across some hoarded butterfly rub-ons and stickers from last year's Pink Paislee release. I had a year to drool over them so it is time to open up the packages and let these gorgeous beauties see some light!

I have to be honest here....I could probably participate in a year's worth of challenges using butterflies and still not use up my stash. Hoarder- who me? No way...

We would love to see you play along with us this week and use some of your butterfly elements. It could be on  your paper, stamps or embellishments. Or what about a butterfly shaped card?? Let your inspiration 'fly away' with this one! Ha ha...so cheesy but I couldn't resist ;)

Cheers, Andrea
